Brau Holding International is a joint venture between the Schörghuber Corporate Group (50.1 percent) and Heineken NV (49.9 percent). It owns three brewery groups with a total of twelve breweries and one mineral water spring: the Paulaner Brauerei Group with its Paulaner, Hacker-Pschorr, Thurn und Taxis, AuerBräu, and Hopf brands; 63 percent of the Kulmbacher Group with its Kulmbacher, Mönchshof, EKU, Kapuziner, Sternquell, Würzburger Hofbräu, Keiler, Scherdel, Braustolz, and Bad Brambacher brands; and the Südwest Group with Fürstenberg, Hoepfner, and Schmucker. This makes Brau Holding International the strongest association of regional breweries and one of the largest brewery groups in Germany.
